Feeling anxious? Cut out the coffee!!

If you experience anxiety even the smallest amount of caffeine can turn your stress into anxiety and anxiety into panic. Even one coffee or tea can be enough to throw you off for the whole day. So, what about decaf?? This still contains some caffeine!! Green tea has amazing health benefits, but if you're stressed out or anxiety prone - hold off!!

Caffeine will also potentiate hypoglycemia (a drop in your blood sugar level) which will make your physical feeling of stress and anxiety even worse!!

4 Ways to Reduce Body Odor

Perspiration itself is normally odorless - it’s the bacterial breakdown of sweat that causes most body odor. If you suffer from body odor, consider the following natural ways to combat it:
  1. Splash rubbing alcohol under your arms to reduce bacteria.
  2. Stimulant drugs, including caffeine, contribute to body odor by increasing the activity of apocrine sweat glands, special glands in hairy parts of the body that produce strong-smelling, musky secretions. Try eliminating caffeine if body odor continues to be a problem.
  3. Most commercial underarm products contain irritating or harmful ingredients, including aluminum salts and dyes. Avoid the antiperspirant varieties - you can find better deodorant only products in health-food stores, such as those containing tea tree, which is antibacterial.
  4. If you buy "natural crystals," make sure they do not contain aluminum in any form.

Detox your Diet: Why we love Green Tea...

Green tea is one of the least processed teas, and thus provides the most antioxidant properties. Green tea contains Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), which is believed to be responsible for most of the health benefits linked to green tea. Green tea not only tastes great, but it also delivers the highest concentration of beneficial nutrients and contains a minimal amount of caffeine.

Green tea is particularly rich in health-promoting flavonoids, which are commonly known for their antioxidant activity. EGCG found in green tea is thought to play a vital role in green tea's anticancer and antioxidant effects.

Most of the research showing the health benefits of green tea is based on the amount of green tea typically consumed in Asian countries; about 3 cups per day. Just one cup of green tea supplies 20-35 mg of EGCG, which has the highest antioxidant activity of all the green tea flavonoids.

Green tea drinkers appear to have lower risk for a wide range of diseases, from simple bacterial or viral infections to chronic degenerative conditions including cardiovascular disease, cancer, stroke, periodontal disease, and osteoporosis.

If you don't like drinking plain water, try adding green tea to your water. Remember you need to drink at least 8 cups of water a day! (Another tip: instead of plain water - add some lemon for taste; lemon also helps stimulate your liver, thus aids in digestion and detoxification).
